Human Nutrition, and in particular protein nutrition, is currently facing two major issues that need to be tackled simultneously:

  • to be successful in the nutrition transition to reduce the part of animals products in the development of healthy and more sustainable diets
  • To be able to provide nutritional strategies to ensure a successful aging for a  growing population of senior

In this context the team conducts research on the determinants of metabolic deregulation observed during dietary transition and / or during aging..

The search for early biomarkers and an integrated overview  of metabolisms, allows us already to propose nutritional strategies to prevent these deregulations.

Our main targets are the prevention of muscle wasting (sarcopenia) and theinstallation of insulin resistance in the elderly
