Research

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) emerge as a hot topic in biology 1/ since their circulating level has been identified as modulated by nutritional stress and cardiometabolic disorders. Nutritional preventive strategies based on plant foods are good candidates to promote health. Their success is based on the exclusive plant source of bioactive compounds, including especially polyphenols, for which a regular consumption is associated with a reduced risk of these diseases.

My current projects aim at demonstrating the ability of polyphenols to modulate EVs from vascular endothelium and the contribution of these EVs to prevent vascular dysfunction.

Ongoing Projects :

Extracellular Vesicles and their content in miRNA: tissular specificity and indicator of pathophysiological status?  (projet aVEmiR - iSite Clermont 2019).
